The new Action of the Competitiveness Program"Bilateral Scientific and Technological Cooperation Greece - China"was published, which aims to strengthen the scientific and technological cooperation between Greece and China, as well as to satisfy the needs of businesses and other entitiesactive in its ecosystem research and innovation, covering the maximum possible range of potential Beneficiaries., καλύπτοντας το μέγιστο δυνατό φάσμα των δυνητικών Δικαιούχων.
The momentum created through collaboration promotes the creation of networks of researchers and the strengthening of existing collaboration, and it is estimated that it can enhance the access to other sources of funding for international science and technology projects.
The Action, with a total budget of €4,000,000, is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union and by National Participation.
Beneficiaries of the Action are:
- Enterprise:any unit, which has a legal entity and carries out an economic activity.
The Action is addressed to existing companies, regardless of the date of establishment, which intend to implement a research and development project, the subject of which falls within the selected areas of activity of this Call (point 4.4.) in the context of the National Smart Specialization Strategy 2021-2027 (ESEE).
Businesses must be legally incorporated and operate in a facility in Greece as legal entities, regardless of their type. Large companies can participate in the Action, if they cooperate with at least one small and medium-sized enterprise (SME).
- Research Organization:Body (such as universities or research centers-institutes, technology transfer organizations, innovation intermediaries, research collaborating bodies with a physical and/or virtual presence) regardless of its legal status (public or private law) or its mode of financing, the primary purpose of which is the independent conduct of basic research, industrial research, or experimental development, or the widespread dissemination of the results of such activities by teaching, publication, or knowledge transfer.
In the case that this body also carries out economic activities, the financing, expenses and income from these economic activities must be declared separately. Businesses that can decisively influence such a body, such as in the capacity of shareholder or member, do not have privileged access to the research results it produces.
Submission of the Proposal
Partnerships of Private Agencies (companies of all sizes), Public Agencies (Research & Technological Agencies, Universities, Research Centers, Institutes and Laboratories thereof), as well as Other Agencies as defined above, from both states, have the right to submit a proposal. The proposals will includeat least two cooperating bodies (with the Coordinator included) from the Greek side,i.e. a research organization and a Small and Medium Enterprise.
The maximum subsidized budget of submitted project proposals is €200,000 and the intensity of the support ranges from 25% to 80%.
The intensity of support for a beneficiary's research and development project is determined by:
- the characterization of the research and development category of each work unit of the project (industrial research, experimental development) and
- the size of the business (very small/small, medium, large).
The funding application is submitted electronically exclusively through the Integrated Information System for the Management of State Aids (OPSKE) using the standard OPSKE Funding Application Submission Form.
