On Monday, 22 May at 11:00, the submission of online applications for the new "Business Grant Programme for the recruitment of 1,000 unemployed people aged 30-66 years old in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace" started.

The aim of the programme is to create 1,000 new full-time jobs. The grant covers up to 70% of the salary and contributions for 12 months with the possibility of extension for another 12 months. The programme is addressed to private enterprises operating in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. Businesses interested in participating will apply online via gov.gr.

After submitting the application, DYPA's job counselors will indicate candidates with the specialty and the required qualifications for the position. The company selects the beneficiary and proceeds with the recruitment.

Beneficiaries of the program, depending on the aid regime chosen by the beneficiary company, are: A) unemployed, registered in the register of the unemployed of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, aged 30 to 66 years (selection of aid based on Regulation (EC) no. 1407/2013 (L 352) of the Commission, for minimum aid importance (de minimis)), B) unemployed persons, registered in the register of unemployed persons of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, aged 30 to 66 years, who are in a disadvantaged position or in a particularly disadvantaged position, as indicated by the competent KPA2 (choice of aid based on article 32 of Regulation (EU) No. 651/2014 (L 187) of the Commission).

The total budget of the program amounts to €17,200,000 and will be covered by DYPA resources.
