New funding program in Epirus for research & innovation: Grants up to €400,000 for businesses and partnerships with research institutions.
🔍 What is the "Research in Epirus" program?
The “Research in Epirus” action supports R&D projects and collaborations between businesses and research organizations, aiming to develop innovative products, services, or production processes that will be commercialized.
This initiative is part of the Epirus ROP 2021–2027 and is co-financed under EU Regulation 651/2014.

📍Who is eligible?
Eligible applicants include:

Existing businesses operating or planning to operate in the Region of Epirus

Companies applying:

In collaboration with other businesses
-
In collaboration with research organizations (with the business as lead partner)

📌Eligible expenses

Industrial research & experimental development
-
Salaries of researchers and technical staff
-
Expenses related to R&D activities
-
Indirect costs via a flat rate (40%)
⚠️ Basic research and feasibility studies are not eligible.
💶 Budget & Grant

Total program budget: 15.000.000€
-
Per project:
-
€50,000 to €300,000 for individual proposals
-
Up to €400,000 for partnerships of 2+ businesses
-

Grant intensity: 25% to 80%, depending on the type of research and cooperation
-
Project duration: up to 30 months
📌 Businesses must contribute at least 30% of the total budget, and each must participate with at least 15% of the total.
