📄 Programme Description

The Ministry of National Economy and Finance has pre-announced the upcoming action “Adaptation Plans for SMEs with 20–50 employees (AWU)”, aiming to strengthen the organisational structure and upgrade the skills of employees in small and medium-sized enterprises.

The action will be implemented across all 13 Administrative Regions of Greece, with the goal of supporting businesses in adapting to modern operational requirements, with an emphasis on:

  • Green development

  • Digital modernisation

  • Enhancement of extroversion

  • Supply chain optimisation


👥 Eligible Beneficiaries

Eligible applicants are SMEs with 20–50 Annual Work Units (AWU) from all sectors of the economy, excluding the primary sector.


💼 What is funded:

Business plans may include the following activities:

  1. Consulting services on organisational restructuring and human resources

  2. Development of soft skills for employees (emotional, social, and communication competencies)

  3. Training in key areas such as:

    • Environmental management and green business practices

    • Digital transformation

    • Export strategy

    • Supply chain management

    • Technical skills relevant to the enterprise’s sector

  4. Certification of learning outcomes (where applicable)

  5. Hiring of new specialised and highly qualified personnel, retained for at least 6 months after the end of the funding period


💰 Type of Aid:

  • De Minimis Regulation (EU 2023/2831)

  • Grant (subsidy for eligible costs)

  • Start: 1 September 2025
