The DYPA (Public Employment Service) has launched a new special employment program aimed at supporting areas of Attica that were affected by the devastating wildfires of August 2024. The program offers 110 unemployed individuals the opportunity to be placed in job positions, while also strengthening the local economy and supporting the professional reintegration of residents.
As part of the initiative, 10 job positions are specifically allocated to unemployed residents of the Municipality of Megara, while the remaining positions will be distributed across other municipalities that were affected by the wildfires between August 11–13, 2024.
The program is implemented through Public Call 5/2026, which has been approved by ASEP and published on the official platforms of the relevant authorities.
Who is eligible for the program
The program is addressed to specific categories of unemployed individuals who meet certain basic criteria.
Eligible applicants include unemployed individuals who:

Permanently reside in the Municipality of Megara (as of August 19, 2024)

Are registered in the DYPA unemployment registry
-
Belong, as a priority, to categories of long-term unemployed individuals or newly unemployed persons
This initiative is part of the support measures for fire-affected areas and aims to strengthen employment opportunities at the local level.
