The Region of Attica is launching four new funding programs totaling €33 million, aiming to provide substantial support for entrepreneurship in the metropolitan area.
These actions address key business needs such as digital transformation, innovation, employment, and the upgrading of social infrastructure. The Region's goal is to support sustainable, evolving businesses and accelerate the absorption of available resources.
What the Programs Include
The upcoming calls for proposals will cover the following four categories:

Research and Innovation Partnerships
Budget: €17 million
Support for collaborations between businesses and research institutions to develop innovative solutions. -
Upgrading Existing Social Infrastructure Budget: €5 million Funding for projects in sectors such as health, education, and care services.

Creation of New Jobs for the Unemployed
Budget: €3 million
Grants for businesses to hire unemployed individuals, aiming to promote sustainable employment. -
Digital Transformation of Businesses
Budget: €8 million
Support for investments in digital technologies, automation, and operational upgrading.
Who Gets Priority
The programs are aimed at businesses based in Attica, with priority given to those that have not received previous funding. Eligible activities are defined by Greece’s National Smart Specialization Strategy 2021–2027, and were designed in consultation with local Chambers of Commerce and the Region's Innovation Center (KEKPA).
Outlook and What’s Next
The Region of Attica is working toward rapid absorption of available funds, while also preparing for the upcoming NSRF 2028–2034, aiming to pre-approve projects as early as 2027. Regional priorities are aligned with EU policy directions, in collaboration with DG REGIO.
